Canadian Music Week has revealed the majority of its 2019 conference schedule. The three-day CMW Music Summit will be held from May 9-11 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel.

The first day of the conference, Thursday, May 9, includes a Spotlight on South Africa and related showcases and business meeting opportunities. As well, the conference programs features, among other panels and presentations: Masterclass with Linda Perry; Tour Strategy Panel - Artists in Motion and the Agents Who Move Them; The New Age of Music Companies - How “Create Music Group” is Changing the Game, moderated by Canadian Musician Editor-in-Chief Andrew King; The New Latin Boom - How the World Caught Up to the Music; Balancing Money & Music: Supporting Your Dream Career; the Rethinking How You Market Yourself workshop; The Digital Marketing Puzzle panel; and a workshop from the Canadian Live Music Association on drug overdose prevention.
The second day of the conference, Friday, May 10, includes: Rick Barker’s How To Become A Social Media Ninja In Under An Hour workshop; Pitching Music Supervisors 101; a keynote conversation with Robbie Robertson; The Intersection of Blockchain Technology and Live Music Events; Community & Audience Development; a panel of music managers; and more.
The final day, Saturday, May 11, includes the Music Cities Summit and other panels, including: A History of Music in Advertising; the Startup Launch Pad; Inclusivity, Equity and Diversity in the context of a Music City; The Risks, Rewards & Gut Instincts of Signing Artists; the Mental Health and the Music Community panel; the ticketing panel; the producers panel; and more.
