Spotify to Donate up to $10 Million to COVID-19 Music Relief Fund

Spotify has several COVID-19 efforts underway, including a new initiative to support members of the music community with the Spotify COVID-19 Music Relief project. Via its website, Spotify will recommend verified organizations that offer financial relief to those in the music community most in need. Spotify will match dollar-for-dollar public donations, up to a total Spotify contribution of $10 million.

The project’s current partners include the Unison Benevolent Fund in Canada, as well as MusiCares, PRS Foundation, and Help Musicians, and plans to add more partners worldwide.

In addition, the company has made contributions to public health organizations and donated ad inventory and platform space to share news and health information with users. Spotify has also created a dedicated COVID-19 hub to provide listeners with a go-to place for news and information.
