Registration Now Open for KoSA Montreal Percussion Camp

KoSA MontrealKoSA International Percussion Workshops and Festival, a well-established week-long drum and percussion camp directed by Montreal residents Aldo Mazza and his wife Dr. Jolán Kovács which runs events in Vermont, China and in Cuba, will host a week of drumming for people of all ages and all levels in Montreal from June 25-30, 2018.  The event will be held at the KoSA Academy located at 2207 Beaconsfield Avenue in the borough of Notre-Dame-de Grâce.

The total cost for the week-long program is $750.  Part-time packages are also available on request.

The KoSA Montreal faculty includes:  Larnell Lewis (Snarky Puppy), Emmanuelle Caplette (Andy Summers-The Police), Glen Velez (Grammy winning frame drum artist), Jim Doxas (Oliver Jones), Mark Guiliana (David Bowie), Clave y Guaguanco (Rumba masters from Cuba) Yoel Diaz (piano), and Aldo Mazza (Repercussion).  This line-up will conduct small, hands-on classes covering a wide range of styles on the drumset from rock, jazz, groove, fusion, hip-hop, and house and in percussion from Cuban to African.  Participants will have a chance to play every day with the Rhythm Section and jam every evening.  Also included in the week-long’s event is a complimentary ticket to see Snarky Puppy at the Montreal Jazz Festival.
