NXNE Partners with StayBillety to Support Unison Benevolent Fund

North by Northeast (NXNE), taking place June 7-16, 2019, in Toronto, has partnered with online accommodation service to assist the music festival’s community with housing when travelling while also helping the Unison Benevolent Fund.

“StayBillety is a smart and simple way for NXNE visitors to connect with our local community,” says NXNE President and Managing Director Michael Hollett. “NXNE musicians and music fans may even connect directly through the platform. At the same time, we’re helping Unison, a great charity supporting Canada’s music community.”

A percentage of each StayBillety booking tagged with the code "Unison" supports the Unison Benevolent Fund, a non-profit, registered charity providing counselling and emergency relief services to the Canadian music community.

“Unison Benevolent Fund is excited about including NXNE in our partnership with StayBillety. The platform is a unique resource for the Canadian music community and music-lovers,” says Unison Executive Director, Amanda Power.

“Whether you are a music lover travelling for a concert, a music-maker on tour, or an industry colleague attending an awards show, StayBillety offers great accommodation options, and new friendships with like-minded individuals along the way!”

“It’s great how quickly the NXNE team jumped at joining StayBillety,” says StayBillety Founder/CEO Barbara Jones. “We’re pleased to be part of their 25th anniversary celebration plans, and look forward to seeing how the NXNE community embraces the platform.”

The StayBillety platform allows members to indicate their interests and the groups and organizations they support. It connects people with shared interests. For example, NXNE supporters with extra space can connect with artists needing a place to stay while performing at the annual festival. Hosts earn some extra money, and musicians and music-fans have the opportunity to save some money on accommodation.

StayBillety is available throughout North America. The Canadian start-up is the Official Online Accommodation Service of the Unison Benevolent Fund. The partnership serves Canada’s broad music community, both industry and fans.
