Music Heals Launches "Join The Band" Fundraising Initiative for Music Therapy Month

March is Music Therapy Month and to celebrate, Music Heals is launching a new fundraising initiative called Join the Band. Music Heals provides funding to music therapy programs across Canada.

To “Start a Band,” supporters can start a fundraising page of their own and invite your coworkers, clients, friend and family to raise much needed funds for music therapy services across Canada.

Music Heals provides the following instruction:

To Start a Band, CLICK HERE. You may be asked to log-in to your Fundrazr account or create one for free. Follow the prompts to create your page. Feel free to personalize this any way you wish.

Collect donations, or as we like to think of it, recruit your band members! Donors = bandmates! For example, your family, friends, coworkers, neighbours, strangers, etc - if they donate...they're in the band! Anyone can be in your band!

Set your fundraising goal. Every dollar your band donates to Music Heals between now and the end of March will be matched dollar for dollar up to $25,000 by an anonymous donor. This means that donations will have twice the impact and help even more Canadians in need. If you raise $5, Music Heals will receive $10, if you raise $1,000, Music Heals will receive $2,000, and so on. The more bandmates your band has, the bigger your impact will be.
