Musicians, industry pros, and music fans came together at the Opera House in Toronto on February 8th, 2020 to celebrate the life of the late Jon Box.

Widely respected and beloved throughout the Canadian music community, Jon was the VP of label partnerships and business development at Universal Music Canada. He lost his heroic and courageous battle with mental illness at Toronto's Michael Garron Hospital on Friday, September 20th, 2019, at the age of 45. Jon is survived by his wife of 21 years, Heather Wright, and two children, Amélie and Tallulah.

Jon Box - A Celebration of Life was a special evening of live music from the likes of Sloan, July Talk, Whitehorse, The Dirty Nil, and Terra Lightfoot, with all net proceeds supporting the Unison Benevolent Fund and Dr. Jay Children’s Grief Centre.

Canadian Musician contributor Bobby Singh (@fohphoto) was onsite to capture the performances and other special happenings.
