Jim Beam National Talent Search is Going Virtual

Because COVID-19 has shutdown almost all live music, Canadian Music Week and the organizers of the 2020 Jim Beam National Talent Search have said that the competition will be going virtual.

"Both Jim Beam and CMW continue to support independent artists by providing an online platform of exposure, to a potentially larger National audience, while accepting the social responsibility to not put people at risk. Thus, replacing our original Jim Beam initiative which saw the same cities, but in noted music venues, entrants to the 2020 Jim Beam Talent Search have been invited to an across Canada Virtual Jim Beam National Talent Search Tour," organizers wrote on competition's website.

More information is expected soon about the 40 bands selected to compete and the regional "webisode" performance shows that will begin in September.
