There is little under a month left for artists to apply to showcase at Indie Week Canada 2018. This year’s Indie Week festival and conference will be taking place around downtown Toronto from Nov. 6-11. The deadline to apply to play is July 16, 2018 and for information is available at canada.indieweek.com/apply.
Indie Week is open to all genres except comedy and cover acts. Bands/artists must not be signed directly to a major label, but bands signed to an indie label with major distribution are still allowed to apply.
Now in its 15th year, Indie Week Canada is one of Canada’s top emerging artist festivals hosting more than 300 artists at 25-plus venues in six days. Indie Week puts industry and artists together, acts have made connections and have built new business furthering their career. Along with artist showcases, Indie Week hosts the Indie101 Music + Tech Conference with industry leaders and over 80 speakers – artists have the opportunity to participate in mentorship, classroom and 1-on-1 sessions along with the regular industry panels. Indie Week provides a launch pad for artists wanting to enter into the North American and Canadian markets and make the connections that can help take your band to the next level.
