Full Details Available for Guitar Workshop Plus' Toronto Session

Guitar Workshop Plus has announced the full 2019 program details for its Toronto session, which is being held from July 28-Aug. 2.

This year's artist lineup in Toronto features: Mark Lettieri (Snarky Puppy), drummer Paul DeLong (Kim Mitchell, Domenic Troiano), guitarist Gary Hoey (Joe Perry, Roger Daltrey), and Greg Koch, who Fender has called one of the “Top 10 Unsung Guitarists.”

The Toronto session will offer courses on guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, vocals, and songwriting. Within the intensive guitar program, students can choose a specific style to study: rock, blues, jazz, classical, acoustic, or country. Classes are offered for varying skill levels ranging from beginner to advanced. Specialized clinics and seminars are also offered, and each day ends with a concert that sees students and professionals, including special guests, playing together.

In addition, all students may attend clinics. Each day, two or three clinics are offered covering topics such as improvisation, songwriting, vocals, scales and modes, building technique, slide, percussion, hand drumming and more. Students are welcome to sign up for these clinics on campus.

Each day at the workshop concludes with an evening concert. These include faculty performances, student jams, ensemble concerts, and performances by the guest artists. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy some of the finest musicians in an intimate setting. In addition to the student jams and concerts, many of the artists will invite attendees up to play with them, as well.

The location for the Toronto session is the Seneca College Newnham Campus. It features modern suite-style accommodations, conference centre facilities that offer 20,000-sq.-ft. of event space with AV and on-site food services. It's located 20 minutes from downtown Toronto with easy access to both Hwy. 401 and Hwy. 404. Other attractions nearby include the Ontario Science Centre, CN Tower, Rogers Centre, Ripley’s Aquarium, Toronto Zoo, Hockey Hall of Fame, Canada’s Wonderland, and Fairview Mall.

Additional Guitar Workshop Plus sessions are happening in San Diego from June 16-21; Seattle from July 14-19; and Nashville from July 21-26.
