Independent artists have until Jan. 23, 2018 to get the early-bird price on their applications to play Indie Week Canada 2018, which will be held in Toronto from Nov. 6-11, 2018. The early-bird application fee is $10. After Jan. 23, the fee rises to $20 and then again to $35 from March 27 to the final application deadline of July 16, 2018.
Now in its 15th year, Indie Week Canada is one of the country’s top emerging artist festivals hosting more than 300 artists at 25-plus venues around downtown Toronto over six days. Indie Week organizers aim to put industry and artists together and say acts have made connections and have built new business furthering their career. Along with artist showcases, Indie Week hosts the Indie101 Music + Tech Conference with industry leaders and over 80 speakers. Artists have the opportunity to participate in mentorship, classroom and one-on-one sessions along with the regular industry panels. Indie Week can be a launching pad for artists wanting to enter into the North American and Canadian markets and make the necessary industry connections.
