#CMPremiere - Via Barcelonia's "Wonderland" Video

We're thrilled to to be the first to share Canadian pop duo Via Barcelonia's new music video for the song “Wonderland”. The video comes hot on the heels of their new album, Wonderland, which was released on Oct. 9, 2020.

"We love creating a musical landscape that takes people out of their day to day, and when we imagined this video together, we wanted to create the same thing, only visually," Andrew Allen of the group tells Canadian Musician. "It was a blast to see our concept of being cast through a piece of office equipment into a magical world come to life and we hope watching it proves to be as much fun as it was to create it!"

"Wonderland" is a compelling song about life’s ups and downs, the repetitive nature of the day-to-day, adventuring, and much more. The video explores the desire to escape and flee to “Wonderland” when the monotonous routines of life become overwhelmingly tedious.

Comprised of platinum-selling, international recording artist Andrew Allen and percussionist, vocalist, and producer Taylor McKnight, Via Barcelonia sets out to create pop-influenced world music with a nod to the music of the past and a leap into the music of the future. The duo released their debut single, “Just Wanna Dance,” in 2018, which reached over 40,000 streams in the first week. Following the success of their hit single, they released their debut EP in 2019, earning them a FACTOR grant for their upcoming EP release.

Via Barcelonia has headlined for events including the Richmond World Music Festival, Parks Alive, Harmony Arts Festival, BX Press Cidery, Metabridge Teach Event, and Sun FM Boat Cruise, and have co-written songs with multi-platinum songwriters and productions by JUNO award-winning producers.
