Decorated singer-songwriter Ken Yates is readying the release of "When We Came Home," the latest single and video from his upcoming LP Quiet Talkers, due out later this spring. We're excited to bring you an exclusive look at the video ahead of its formal release in our latest #CMPremiere.
"'When We Came Home' is about revisiting the place you grew up through various stages in life, and how your perception of a place changes over time,” Yates tells Canadian Musician. "It's about coming to the realization that people need a purpose and there is no finish line - everything keeps moving forward."

Since first planting roots within the Canadian music scene in 2011, Yates has steadily grown a reputation as one of the country’s brightest singer-songwriters thanks to his unforgettable melodies, emotionally-charged storytelling, and top-notch guitar chops.
On the back of his 2016 LP, Huntsville, Yates won English Songwriter of the Year and New/Emerging Artist of the Year at the 13th Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2017. The album also spawned two tours with award-winning artist Passenger and support slots with the likes of Hermitage Green, Jenn Grant, Stu Larsen, and Rose Cousins.
