Over 1,000 Educators & Attendees Take in BCMEA 2019

The 2019 edition of the British Columbia Music Educators' Association (BCMEA) Conference ran from Oct. 24-26, 2019 at Richmond, BC's River Rock Casino & Resort. Approximately 1,100 attendees took in the event, including 700 educators, 220 Honour Esemble students, and 180 Marketplace staff.

The BCMEA Conference is the annual professional development opportunity of the British Columbia Music Educators' Association, which aims to connect music educators of all types from across the province and beyond.

The 2019 keynote speaker was award-winning entertainer, songwriter, and educator Charlotte Diamond, who gave a unique and spirited presentation and even led the attendees in song.

The various presentations on offer touched on topics relevant to today's music room. Handouts from the various presentations are accessible right here.

There was also an industry Marketplace with dozens of exhibitors, a variety of networking events and receptions, special performances, and more.
